Since they were kids, Blair Cornelia Waldorf, Serena van der Woodsen, and Nathaniel Archibald and have been friends. But little did the only guy in this friendship know that his two hot best friends were in love with him. It was Serena who had the chance to kiss Nate first. After the party, she and Blair danced with Chuck Bass, and their butts with tattoos starred in Vanessa’s camera because they were not wearing undies. It happened in Serena’s bedroom.

Nate was lying in the middle of the two girls. They kissed and kissed, and they fell asleep again. Later that day, Nate read an email from L’wren, the girl he smoked pot with during last night’s party. L’wren was inviting him to a cotillion. Nate left first, leaving Blair and Serena to talk. Before Serena could tell her best friend that something was going on because of the kiss, Blair confessed how much she loved Nate. Blair was kind of problematic during those days because of her family. Her mother was getting fatter and fatter, and her lawyer father turned out to be gay. Because of those, Serena would not like to ruin her best friend’s only happiness at the moment. So a plan was formed: They’re stopping Nate from going with L’wren so Blair could confess her love.

To Serena’s dismay (which she pretended to not be bothered by), the plan worked, and Blair and Nate ended up as couples. Serena felt like she was not needed, or the friendship was already broken. The three of them were once best friends, but it turned out that the two are couples, and she’s just a familiar friend. They went on a vacation together on spring break, and it was torture to stay in the extension room as she heard the couple giggling. What was worse is that she’s still not over the fact that Nate kissed her first. He loved her first. But what can she do?

When summer came, they all spent it individually. Nate on Maine, building a yacht. Blair was with his father/family to attend a wedding and Serena with her brother, Erik. Blair and Nate planned to lose each other’s virginity the minute they met again, but it happened differently – because Nate was reminded of Serena, of how much he craved for her. So they met up, and they did it. It was heaven for both of them, especially for Serena – but Blair came home ahead of time, and although they weren’t busted and she wasn’t suspicious at all, Serena decided to leave the couples to themselves. After all, they are couples, and she’s just a friend who could be or already is a mistress. She entered the boarding school with a broken heart so her (ex) best friends would never see her again.
