What I liked about it:

Easy to read. It was such a short read for me, probably because I expected the novel to get more complicated. However, it is good that this was such an easy read – minimal characters, uncomplicated way of narration.
Plot. The plot will make me look forward to how the book will end. Since the story revolves around the wife, saving herself from her husband – wanting to know if they’d get held made me hang on to the story.

What I didn’t like about the book:

It was not relatable. I know I am not supposed to relate to every book I read, but this one feels like the story is far from happening in real life – because the main characters, Grace, and Jack, do not make the scenes believable. Jack is the villain, a psychopath, but he doesn’t act like one at all.
Jack’s Motive. Jack just wants someone that will fear him, and he thinks that Grace’s sister, Millie, will be the perfect person for that. So he marries Grace to scare Millie. If anyone figured this out, I’d be happy to have Jack’s motive explained – because it honestly didn’t make sense while I was reading. Thanks!

How it ended for me:

The ending was good because of how Grace handled it, but at the same time, it was terrible because of the way Grace defeated Jack.
