I Could Be Love (Poem #79)

If love was a game

I hope the both of us could win

if love was a sin

then let the punishment begin

if love was a song

then it’s worth singing along

if love was torture

the let the pain prolong

if love was the water

then let the current lead me anywhere

if love was a river

I don’t mind floating forever

if love was a disease

I would be the cure

if love was an angel

then I would be as pure

if love was a fight

then I’d be a knight

if love was a letter

all my love I would write

if love was a wish

I’d be a genie, I’d be a wishing star

if love was a mystery

I’d be ready to explore

it love was painful

then I’m ready to feel sore

if love was a lie

then it’s a pleasure to be deceived

if love was a joke

I don’t mind being stupid

if love was addictive

then can I be the weed?

if love was a commitment

I don’t mind being tied

if love was an argument

I’d sue my own pride

if love was a war

then I’m bringing an army

if love was the beginning

then let there be infinity

if love was a question

let the answer be me.
