Falling Again (Poem #87)

I closed my eyes

and mumbled the lines

I unintentionally memorized

Summoning all the guts

and gathering all the dusts from my past

saying “I survived then, I could survive again”

You’re just another boy

with an identical love story

sanity kept me from falling

yet my heart screamed “leap”

and so I did

without even looking
