A Stubborn Memory (Poem #117)

I am in love with the sound of my name on your lips
the way you smile & then the way you hiss
and the way you curse
under your breath

I love how my presence has this effect
or how my memory
haunts you in your sleep

Our mistakes you cannot give rest
all day long, what we did
stayed in your head
and I bet tonight,
sends you to bed.

Just reading and writing my way out of this messy adult life! I have transitioned from having piles of notebooks stacked underneath my bed from writing on the internet and allowing people worldwide to read.
