Calm but Hurt (Poem #131)

You asked her if she’s mad

she shook her head

and told you she’s not

You asked her again

she rolled her eyes

and told you to quit asking

You looked deeper

you studied her face

because you wonder

with the mistake you just made

how could she manage to bury such anger

For the entire time you’ve known her

she’s only been angry twice

first was when you broke your leg

the second was when you left home

and anywhere slept alone

How could she not be angry now?

Is it possible that she’s entirely someone

you may not know?

So you said your mistake once more

incase she haven’t heard

“I kissed someone else”

you expected a slap on your face

instead of a gentle sadness in her eyes

She’s not mad, she’s more than that

it’s a thousand emotions

too strong to each be named

but could atleast be summed up as severe pain.
